Hotel Garni Cafe Rapple in Bad Peterstal-Griesbach

Latte macchiato € 3.30 Black Forest cake € 3.70 a bit expensive ... but big, delicious piece of cake, makes a visit worthwhile

Unfortunately, very disappointing. Today I was in the cafe around 4:30 in the afternoon. Unfortunately there was nothing left of a large selection of cakes. The raspberry cream cake tasted more like chemistry than raspberry and was lumpy. The nut cake from my companion was just dry and tasted burnt. So much for the cake. At 16:37, 25 minutes before the shop closed, the waitress came and brought the bill without being asked. Apart from the snotty manner, we were asked to leave as soon as possible while we were eating. So even as a tip for others half an hour before you can no longer get into the cafe. All in all, bad cake, bad service and little desire to work. Sometimes you have to ask yourself who is putting the money into the till at the end of the day.

A spontaneous request for a room was dealt with quickly and courteously to our satisfaction. We booked several days. We didn't have high expectations and were very positively surprised. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, the closet was sufficient. Breakfast is very pleasant, it is served at the table with everything that goes with it. The rolls are baked by Café Räpple itself, as are the cakes. These are very tasty. The onion tarts with new wine are also very tasty. Information, tips with documents for undertakings are given. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to recommend the house to others.

Very nice, helpful staff. Corona requirements are meticulously adhered to. We feel very comfortable here. Room very clean and in the junior suite we had enough space and a balcony.

Nicely furnished, quality products but not cozy, we did not linger, not even as a spectator.

Cake is very dry, seems like they made the cake a few days ago and let it stand outside for a few days. Really unfortunate! Service itself is great, they clean the tables often, they're friendly, etc. If only the cake was as good, had such expectations as the place looks great :-(

I went here especially to taste the famous original schwarzwalder Kirsch torte. I saw that the cake was just cut and also ordered a dot. Unfortunately the cake I got was a disappointment. It was dry and not what I imagined. The service was good, fast and friendly.

The service was very friendly. The food was okay. It was also very quick. But the salad buffet could use fresh green lettuce. There is lamb's lettuce, etc. And going to the basement to the toilet is a bit difficult for older people.

I stayed here for over a week and I was so happy. The place is very clean, cozy, comfy and nice. The owner and all the staff are very helpful and friendly. The area is very accessible to the Church, the Edeka Store, Rathaus, and the Banhof. Its all walking distance. Plus theres a Laundy Area and a Cafe inside. Its all inside in that Hotel. We were very happy with the room, which was very spacious and clean, and the location was ideal for us. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, as were the staff; were helpful, as well as open for all questions and could call a fast suitable hiking trails & sights. We highly recommend the hotel and it is also great for exploring the Black Forest for a few days. :)

Coffee, cakes and crisps are unique and wonderful

Eating at a Golden Wedding celebration was a treat for the eyes and palate. It was a taste experience, as one wishes and was lovingly prepared professionally (of which the pictures are). I have already been to one of the salad buffet evenings, which I liked and tasted very well for the best-fair price. The ambience is nice and cozy, you feel completely comfortable with the very friendly service. I plan to go there again, so a clear recommendation.

A stop is needed for a coffee and a pastry. You will be in awe of the various Torte with impressive sizes. Warm welcome and service at the top.

Good quality in baked goods. Cheap lunch. Salad buffet.

Keep a half an hour after your walk or walk to taste in this typical tea room where cakes compete for gluttony. The hot chocolate is perfect 👍

Reasonably priced, clean, and friendly staff. Hotel Garni served as a great home base for my family as we explored the Black Forest. Be sure to choose the "plus" rooms as those rooms have a large living area, plenty of space good for winding down the evening playing cards. The attached bakery has some delectable treats.

Stayed in one of the apartments for a week between 29/08/2015 and 05/09/2015. The breakfast was very good and the room exceeded our expectations. The train bahnhof is a sort walk away and easy to access. The Konus Card is perfect for free travel on bus/train around the Black Forest. We came for the hiking and it did not disappoint. There are a large number of hiking trails that can be reached just a few minutes walk away from the hotel. We plan to return for another two weeks next May (2015). The staff is friendly and having access to a washer/dryer is a real plus. There is an Edeka food market very near the hotel as well as a bakery in the hotel. We did not need a car to get around and solely used public transportation. Be sure to visit the farmer's market in Offenburg. Thanks Marco!
